We have actually seen real world, tangible improvements following the adoption of Able’s Target training package. If we look at the statistics we can see a measurable reduction in the amount of physical intervention being utilised. Compared to previous years we can see a reduction in the use of physical intervention by approximately 25% and we can see this as more than a one off but part of a trend. On speaking to staff, they feel more confident not only in the actions they take but importantly they have the confident to not take action if they don’t feel it’s appropriate.
